Sterline lives in Jeremie with her parents and 4 younger siblings, and she is studying education science at the University of the Renaissance. Her father is a hard-working farmer who labors to provide for her and her younger siblings, but their economic situation is very difficult because he doesn’t have a regular paycheck. An especially intelligent young woman, her father told us with pride how she always loved school and received good grades. Not only is she committed to excelling in her studies and becoming an excellent teacher, but she has already learned English and now teaches English to children at a local school. Grateful for the opportunity she has received to get a university education, she’s committed to giving back by investing in the lives of other young people in the future.
