Originally from Port-au-Prince, Falonne is a bright and determined young woman who has overcome significant challenges to continue her education. After her family fled insecurity in Port-au-Prince, Falonne completed her final year of high school in Jérémie at Sacred Heart High School, graduating in 2025 among the top students in her class.
Today, Falonne lives in Jérémie with her mother and younger sister. After graduating from high school, her intelligence and dedication caught the attention of the director of the Beraca Education Center, and she began working as a teacher’s assistant at the Beraca kindergarten.
Since childhood, Falonne has been captivated by technology. She remembers being amazed by her mother’s phone and wondering how such a small device could do so much. That curiosity has now turned into a career path and, she is now studying Computer Engineering at the University of the Renaissance in Jérémie.
Guided by mentors who see her potential, Falonne dreams of designing her own applications, building a career in technology, and using her knowledge to improve her community. She believes in herself—even when challenges arise—and is determined to create a better future for her family through education, faith, and hard work.
