Guethie has known for a long time that she would like to become a pediatrician, and through the support that she is receiving through the generosity of Thrive Ansanm donors, her dream is becoming a reality. She is now studying medicine at Lumiere University, and she has especially enjoyed the past year because she has been able to gain more practical experience through internships in her field. Her parents are both getting older, and neither of them has a consistent income, so she would never have been able to afford her education on her own, and she does not take this opportunity for granted. Reflecting back on her time in college so far, she said, “The education that I have received has made me see the world in a different fashion, especially in the area of health. I am going to take care of anyone who is sick. They will all be treated.”
