Heinsky is a very bright young boy who likes to keep himself busy. He enjoys drawing, and he knows how to make sandals and bracelets. By 2 years old, he was already asking to go to school, and today he excels in mathematics and mental calculations. He also enjoys French and social sciences, and he likes to memorize Bible verses. Even though his mother is a nurse by profession, neither she nor his father has a steady job, so like so many Haitians, they are surviving based on whatever income they can scrape together, making it very difficult to pay for Heinsky’s school. However, since joining our program in 2022, he hasn’t had to worry about it, and he’s consistently been one of the top students in his class.
