For Marc Woodjy, education is not only a passion but a path toward a better future. He finished middle school last year, and in Haiti, every student must pass a government exam to enter high school. Not only did he pass, but he was the top student in the entire Grand-Anse department—a remarkable achievement.
However, despite his success, his parents were struggling to pay for him to continue his education. They run a small shop from their home, which provides their only source of income, and though they do everything they can to support their three children, the cost of education has become very high. Now Marc Woodjy can continue his studies without worry. He loves computer science and physics and dreams of one day becoming a computer engineer. When he’s not studying or helping at home, he enjoys reading, playing video games, and soccer.
