Patrick hasn’t been able to find steady work, and his father is also unemployed. His mother is a street vendor, but her income is very small. Given this situation, he could never afford college on his own, but with your support, he will be able to continue his studies at University of the Renaissance of Haiti in Jérémie.
He hopes to major in psychology because he sees this as a way he can build a career and be of service to others. He explains that because of the difficult situation in Haiti there are many people who are traumatized and/or living under severe stress. He is well aware that there is still a stigma attached to psychological support in Haiti, and he is hoping he can help to change this so that more people can take advantage of psychological services.
